Its purpose is to promote and provide various programs, activities, services and community events for older adults at the Killarney Community Centre. Anyone who holds a Killarney Community Centre membership card and is 55+ years of age can be a member. of the Seniors Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Killarney Community Centre is located near Kerr St and East 49th Ave &#8211; it has activities and services for all ages.&nbsp; WE offer licensed pre-school and childcare, seniors centre, concessions, billiards area, full sized gymnasium, dance studio, swimming pool with a steam room and whirlpool, ice rink and fitness centre.&nbsp; Outside, there are tennis courts and a playground at nearby Killarney Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Killarney Community Centre offers a myriad of programs ranging from Tai Chi, monthly multicultural luncheons and art clubs. There are also culturally specific programs available such as the Indo Canadian Men &amp; Women\u2019s group and Mandarin Seniors Speaking Club. The Centre is proud to provide services in a variety of languages including Mandarin, Cantonese, Punjabi, and English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Killarney Seniors Centre provides southeast Vancouver\u2019s growing senior population with opportunities for socializing, healthy meals, and physical activity, which play a key role in keeping seniors healthy and independent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funding for the $7.5 million centre came from the Government of Canada, Government of British Columbia, and City of Vancouver. The Vancouver Park Board provided the land.
