{"id":2624,"date":"2021-01-19T11:04:23","date_gmt":"2021-01-19T16:04:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clientdev.dazil.com\/seniorshub\/?page_id=2624"},"modified":"2021-03-29T10:38:40","modified_gmt":"2021-03-29T14:38:40","slug":"values-diversity-and-inclusion","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/clientdev.dazil.com\/seniorshub\/about-us\/values-diversity-and-inclusion\/","title":{"rendered":"Values, Diversity and Inclusion"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3><strong>Hub Values<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The following values and beliefs guide the relationship and work of the Hub:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Seniors-led:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;The Hub is led by seniors (adults age 55 years or older).&nbsp;&nbsp;It promotes a healthy aging process, recognizing that needs vary according to generations.&nbsp;&nbsp;Seniors provide guidance on increasing options in and access to seniors programming.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Belonging:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;The Hub strives to create a sense of belonging and inclusion and provide opportunities to be connected and engaged in the community&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Dignity and respect:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;The Hub operates on values of respect where everyone is treated with care and compassion.&nbsp;&nbsp;It aims to foster independence, self-esteem, dignity and empowerment for seniors and their families.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Community-focused:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;The overarching intention of the collaboration between Partner Organizations is to maximize benefits for community and leverage resources effectively.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Hub engages with community and can advocate on behalf of local seniors, their families and service providers.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Openness:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;The Hub Partner organizations and the Council operate in a spirit of respect for each other and are clear and open about their intentions.&nbsp;&nbsp;They bring forward any issues that arise during the course of Hub work.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3>Statement of Diversity And Inclusion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>WE ARE DIVERSE INDIVIDUALS<\/strong><\/strong> of all ages, colours, ethnicities, nationalities, faiths &amp;
